MY STORY


Dear Strong and Resilient Women,

In September 2018, I embarked on a life-changing health journey. I was carrying over 50 pounds of excess weight, battling painful joints, leg weakness, constant cramps, and daily fatigue. Depression and low energy plagued me, and no matter what I ate, I was never satisfied. My blood sugar levels were creeping over 100, and my C-reactive protein was more than double the top of the range, signaling chronic inflammation. High blood pressure and high triglycerides had taken over, and I could no longer enjoy biking, kayaking, or hiking. Despite my deteriorating condition, the doctors weren't concerned. I felt trapped, hopeless, and frustrated as my life became sedentary and my health spiraled out of control.

Conventional medicine offered no long-term solutions, only a slew of prescription drugs for pain, sleep, high blood pressure, antacids, and multiple steroid injections. But nothing brought me closer to true health. Discouraged but determined, I began studying nutrition and recent research from renowned doctors. I discovered the transformative power of a low-carbohydrate/high-fat diet and intermittent fasting, and I committed to this new way of life. Slowly but surely, I lost most of the excess weight and regained my health and energy. I came off all prescription medications and realized that there is hope—we can take control of our health. My journey is ongoing, and I am committed to learning and growing as I pursue my health goals.

When I considered becoming a health coach, I discovered a series of podcasts about the business of health coaching and found the Primal Health Coach Institute. Equipped with new tools, I felt compelled to share my knowledge with others facing similar struggles. In my healthcare work, I saw countless people suffering due to lifestyle choices and the frustration of misleading information. People were misinformed, unaware, and confused about what truly constitutes a healthy lifestyle.

I now know that a healthy body is within reach. With the knowledge I've gained through my studies and the Primal Life Health Coaching Certificate, I have achieved the healthiest state of my life, and I am passionate about passing this on to you. I became a Health Coach to help women make informed choices, create a lifestyle that brings results, and live long, healthy, and active lives in true wellness.
